Illegal aliens demonstrate against America

There are a few facts that most Americans refuse to face regarding the Illegal Immigration issue and continue their daily life surrounded by a self imposed bubble of denial.

Whether anyone likes it or not, most Illegal Aliens in this country are either Mexican or from countries south of Mexico, and the majority of them do not like this country, its people, or the laws and want no part of citizenship, but desire to transform our country into an annex of their homeland.

If you view all the news available and not just the prominent headlines from the major media, you will discover that these people are insurgents and willing to fight to take over the U.S., rather than assimilate into our culture and way of life. The old idea of timid Illegal’s just here to work and afraid to cause any trouble went out the window in the 70s. Today's Illegal Alien is interested in the Mexification of our public schools. Examples of this are seen on a daily basis where the Mexican Flag is put above an American Flag in Southern California and in some cases the complete removal of the American Flag altogether.

Any trace of Patriotism by students is met with intimidation from Illegal Immigrate students and punishment from school faculty.

The marches and rallies conducted by Illegal Immigrants always fly the Mexican Flag and praise Mexico while denouncing the United States and criticizing the U.S. citizens as racists for not allowing them free access to break our laws and have sovereignty of their homeland over the sovereignty of the U.S.

Most street gangs are filled with Illegal Immigrants from south of our border and also run by either the Mexican Mafia or drug cartels in Mexico and/or Central America.

If you care to examine the statistics rather than hide from them, you will find that 90% of the crimes committed in the U.S. are from individuals of Spanish Heritage and most of the overcrowded prisons in our country are filled with individuals either here Illegally or associated with Illegal Aliens from South of the border.

The biggest threat to our country isn't from Terrorists, but rather from millions of Mexican and Central American Insurgents who have silently invaded our country, and are now poised to take over the country from legitimate ways such as legislation on a National and State level, to plain intimidation on a local level based on the lie that if you oppose them, you must be racist, to criminal ways such as violent demonstrations, crime sprees, and murder.

The race card just doesn't fly anymore to those Americans who are truly Patriots of the Constitution and the American way because it is being used to further the degradation of our country and the agenda of a political takeover based on the numbers of insurgents living on U.S. soil.

It is the Illegal Immigrants who are racist, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize this, but only a small time viewing and listening to their actions on the news. The resentment of our country and the people here are the number one issue with these people.

The lie that we cannot afford to send Illegal Immigrants back to their country of origin is the biggest farce of the century. It will cost billions, but in light of the trillions already spent by the Obama Administration, it would be mere pocket change.

We would not be rounding up simple people who share our love of America and common interests, but rather seizing insurgents who wish harm to us and our way of life.

The Illegal Immigration issue is not the issue anymore, and has been replaced by an act of war over the sovereignty of our nation by people from hostile countries who wish to bring harm to us and our way of life. This must be dealt with the same actions of any other adversary we are at war with, and the possibility of the U.S. invading Mexico to take control of a political situation which is out of control and in the hands of criminal entities.

Illegal alien criminals rioting in our streets!

Illegal alien criminals rioting in our streets!

Illegal aliens desecrate the American flag in demonstrations against America!

Did our fathers and grandfathers fight and die for the American flag to be desecrated by illegal alien heathens from Mexico? The American flag is the symbol of our sovereignty and every American should be outraged by these demonstrations by foreign invaders from Mexico.

Illegal aliens burn American flag

Illegal aliens burn American flag

Is Mexico annexing the U.S. through their so-called "anchor babies?"

The widely known but always down-played Reconquista Movement is alive and well and coming to a town near you. Mexico is taking much of this country through very aggressive illegal immigration, as well as an equally aggressive birth rate.

The Pew Hispanic Center just announced the results of a recent study which found that of the 4.3 million babies born in the U.S., during 2008, about 340,000 were born to illegal aliens.

The study found that children born to illegal aliens account for 7 percent of the total population of people under the age of 18, or 5.1 million children. 79 percent of those children were born in the United States, automatically making them U.S. citizens.

The goal of the Reconquista Movement was once designed to takeover the southwestern border states of California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. However, through the exploitation of the 14th Amendment, illegal aliens are now building colonies in every state of the union.

The following statistics provided by the U.S. Census Bureau are staggering and frightening:

-In 2005, Latinos accounted for half of the U.S. population growth.

-The total U.S. population more than doubled from 131.7 million in 1940 to 290.8 million in 2003, the Latino population increased nearly 30 times in that same period. In 1940, the Latino population within the U.S. was 1.4 million, by 2003 it had swelled to 40 million.

-Between 2000-2003, the Latino population within the U.S. grew at a rate of 13 percent, while the U.S. non-Latino population grew at a rate of only 0.8 percent during the same period.

-Recently, the ethnocentric Latino group known as La Raza proudly reported on their website that 85 percent of the Latino population under 18 were born inside the United States. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 80 percent of our Latino population is age 44 or younger, which means that the vast majority of Latinos in the U.S. are still of child-bearing age.

With the unchecked illegal immigration crisis, this country will become another Latin American nation in our lifetime. What will this mean to you?...The disappearance of the English language, the destruction of our traditional American culture, the over-population of our cities, epidemics of once-thought eradicated diseases, crushing poverty, and soaring crime.

Considering the fact that illegal aliens already account for 29 percent of this nation's prison population, we can expect that prison building will become the new growth industry.

Public schools will only teach English as a second language, and municipal services will be stretched beyond their limits.

But the real problem will be that our politics will be controlled by those whose loyalties actually lie with another nation. Once our political system becomes dominated by illegal aliens and their offspring, our resources will no longer be our own, but will be used only to benefit Mexico.

If an effort is not made to protect our border with Mexico and we do not soon adopt a sensible immigration policy--the United States as we know it will cease to exist in the near future.

Open Letter to Texas State Officers of the Law

by TexasMagnolia

EVERY DAY, illegal alien criminals commit violent crimes against innocent American citizens.

Citizens are now DEMANDING change at every level of government.

Since our federal government has failed to protect us from invasion and slaughter at the hands of illegal alien criminals, citizens are now turning to state law enforcement for action.

State Attorneys General around the country are changing sanctuary city policies. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott must do his sworn duty and enforce all federal immigration laws. Sanctuary cities like Fort Worth and Dallas must stop pandering to LaRaza, Mexico and illegal alien foreign invaders.

If illegal aliens were identified, arrested and deported for driving without a license and insurance, innocent American lives would be saved and billions and billions of tax-payer dollars would be saved.

When they are arrested for the lower level crimes such as DUI, POSS C/S and burglary, why not deport them then, before they commit more serious crimes against American citizens.

Why does law enforcement wait
until illegal aliens commit murder, rape, robbery, intoxication manslaughter, POSS C/S with intent to distribute, child molestation and other heinous crimes before they are arrested and deported?

When they are finally deported, why are they allowed to illegally cross the border again and commit more crimes?

Is job security the reason law enforcement does not want to control illegal immigration?

Our municipal courts in Tarrant County have a two to three year back-log because of the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens committing crimes in Fort Worth and the surrounding cities.

They cost American tax-payers billions and are responsible for the budget short-falls in every city and state in the Union.

how many American citizens have been murdered, raped, assaulted and robbed by the hundreds of thousands of illegal alien "Reconquistas" who have been invading Texas for the past 50 years?

Do your sworn duty and enforce federal immigration laws!

Selective enforcement of laws leads to anarchy!

Is this what you want for your children and grand children?

Invest $2.2 billion in a fence and save billions of American tax dollars for American citizens

By American Patriot

If the security fence on the Mexican border costs $2.2 billion to build, the return on the investment would be a windfall to the Texan and American taxpayers!

Right now, the state and federal money spent on illegal aliens is over $6 billion per year!

From Federation for American Immigration Reform:

Analysis of the latest Census data indicates Texas’s illegal immigrant population is costing the state’s taxpayers more than $4.7 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration. Even if the estimated tax contributions of illegal immigrant workers are subtracted, net outlays still amount to more than $3.7 billion per year. The annual fiscal burden amounts to about $725 per Texas household headed by a native-born resident.

From the U.S. General Accounting Office:

"We estimate the federal cost of incarcerating criminal aliens totaled

about $5.8 billion from 2001 through 2004."

Spend $2.2 billion now and save billions and billions in the future! Invest in America, not Mexico!

Americans must fight for their country or lose it to Mexico!

If we do not fight now, our children and grandchildren will speak of the United States of America in the "past tense." How do you say "past tense" in Spanish?

The article below was posted on another forum by Bushmaster. It accurately describes the real "state of the union."

It's way too late, guys. The barbarians are already inside the gate. They are opportunist parasites taking advantage of the declining American Empire. The Republic is falling and they are looking for the scraps.

The voices of the protesting masses go ignored. I predict the first 'shots' in Civil War II will begin by late next year as the US and global economy drop to one knee and our soft belly is exposed. The party is clearly over in case no one noticed. The 'good days' ended in the 90's. Do not look for them to return.

The parasitic invasion force is here to stay and there is NOTHING anyone can do about it, excluding a violent blowback. Our so called leaders sold us out to the globalist agenda puppet masters.

The American fire sale is on. Everyone of you will witness the fall of this once great country. We are now in freefall and this is just the beginning, folks. The donimoes are in motion.

If anyone of you are true patriots, you will know what has to be done and when. This was your country. Now it belongs to the world and our enemies included. This is what multiculturalism is! This is the product of diversity, open border policy gone mad and undebated treaties and international agreements. This is what replaced traditional American values and was forced on us by 'legislation in the courts'. This is exactly what the minority of socialists wanted and achieved. They have won.

You can all belly ache all you want but this thing will not go away. It is here to stay because we did not stand up and fight for our own preservation early on, 20 years ago. We hoped someone else would take up the cause and remained silent. Now, the protesting falls on deaf ears in Washington and Hometown, USA. We, the people, allowed the power elite to hoodwink us. There is no going back without a bloody battle, period.

So, go ahead and moan all you want on these forums. Just remember, nobody cares that is in a position to change things (our elected officials and representatives). They are cowards and have folded time and again. They openly FEAR attorneys and judges. Many have dirt hung over their heads and are hostage to extortion if they vote the wrong way.

We did this to ourselves and there is NO turning back. Get used to it. And prepare for civil unrest in the years to come. It's going to make 1968 look like cake. All those drug infested hippies are your leaders now (both sides of the isle). You elected them and this is what you got. Socialsm superimposed onto capitalism, marching on to globalism and national self destruction in favor of "Unions". The European Union, the South American Union ( in the works), the Med. Union (proposed), the Mideastern Union and so forth. There is no United States 'superpower' in the plans. This is why the borders remain open and the flood continues, to bring us down to the level and inline with other nations. You have to be asleep at the stick to not notice this and many of you are.

Open Letter to Professor Anderson-Expert in U.S. Indian Affairs

By Texas Magnolia

Dear Professor Anderson:

Margo Tamaz and the Lipan Apache Women Defense Protesting the Border Fence

President Obama must finish the border fence, because it is an issue of national security!

If fences do not work, why is there a fence around the White House?

If the fence is not finished and our border secured with the National Guard, the Mexican drug dealers, murderers, thieves and “reconquistas” will expand their territory further into the U.S. American citizens are fed up with this foreign invasion from the Mexican border!

Mexico has been waging an "undeclared war" on the U.S. for the past 50 years. The Mexican government actively promotes the illegal invasion and secretly conspires with Russia, Iran, China and South America to topple the U.S. by bankrupting the economy. It appears that strategy is working!

Many of the so-called “indigenous” people who are complaining about the fence have allegiance to Mexico and the Apache Indians. Ethnocentric groups such as the Lipan Apache Women Defense are no more “indigenous” to the land than I am. My ancestors emigrated from Europe and have lived in Texas since the early 1800s. That makes me "indigenous.” Definition of indigenous: originating in and characteristic of a particular region or country; native.

Since I am indigenous to Texas, I have more “rights” to the land than the illegal aliens who are invading from the unsecured southern border leaving heaps of garbage along the way as they completely destroy the wildlife habitat. Because you have based your life’s work on this concept of “land rights for indigenous people” I am certain you will agree with me.

Now concerning my rights to the land…does this mean all the land belongs to me personally or must I have a deed to claim certain land?

According to Margo Tamez, “We belong to the lands, and the lands belong to us.” If this is true, then I would like leave Texas and move into your house with you and your family. Since you are a successful professor at University of Washington, School of Law, your house is probably a lot bigger and more expensive than mine. Just leave the key under the mat…I assume you have a lock on your front door to keep intruders and thieves out. I certainly have a lock on my front door to keep out all the illegal aliens criminals in my neighborhood!

Now that we have established I have rights as an “indigenous” native of Texas and do not have to respect any boundaries, I would like to waive these rights in favor national security. Unlike Tamez, who opposes U.S. national security in favor of her own selfish agenda, I urge the Obama administration to finish the fence and secure the border with Mexico to keep gang members, drug dealers, murderers, thieves and terrorists out.

Are you aware that Islamic Terrorists are training in Mexico, learning the culture, posing as “poor undocumented workers” and walking across the unsecured border? That makes all those long lines at the airport security checks rather pointless!

Margo Tamez is a self-described “rebellious” activist who is using all her power to stop the border fence.

Quoting from her letter to you:

Tamez charged that the US government's planned fences, border checkpoints and other measures are "criminalizing" her people. Indigenous lives, Tamez asserted, are being "radically altered" by the burgeoning border security complex. "We are assumed to be the criminals on our lands," Tamez said, "We belong to the lands, and the lands belong to us."

Margo Tamez and her mother, Dr. Eloisa Garcia Tamez, co-founders of the Lipan Apache Women Defense are very well educated, latte sipping, BMW driving, hypocrites who have made a career of complaining about the atrocities inflicted on them by the “Whites.”

Isn’t Ms. Tamez one of your colleagues at the University of Washington? Instead of “grinding corn in her Tee Pee” and crossing the Rio Grande in search of natural herbs and medicines, I bet she eats at “On the Border” and gets her Zoloft at the local pharmacy. She spends her day attending faculty meetings and planning the anti-American, brain-washing curriculum for the stupid young white kids. In fact, she embraces the ‘White” culture she professes to reject. I sympathize with her “identity crisis”, but let’s not make national security policy decisions based on the irrational rantings of Margo Tamez and her group of Indian feminists who hate White men.

American Indian tribes posses a “nation-within-a-nation” status that will NOT BE RECOGNIZED if foreign invaders and foreign governments succeed in toppling the U.S.A.!

You have been an excellent advocate for the rights of American Indian tribes and will be an asset to President-elect Obama’s team.

Congratulations on being chosen!

In the interest public safety and national security, please advise the Obama administration to finish the fence, secure the border with the National Guard, and continue to deport illegal aliens!

Remember...a sovereign United States of America ensures that all Indian Nations will remain sovereign under her protection.

What happened to Fort Worth?

by American Patriot

Where is the English? Where is the assimilation that is required to become an American citizen?

Illegal aliens have no intention of assimilating into American culture and learning English. All the business signs in Diamond Hill and Northside are in Spanish only!

Illegal alien invaders from Mexico have turned Diamond Hill into Juarez. The New Fort Worth is now overrun with Hispanic gangs. The result is gang violence, drugs, DWIs, drive bys, graffiti, LOUD MUSIC and crimes of all sorts.

Large groups of gang members hang out in their front yards all night, disturbing the peace, guzzling beer, puking and pissing till their roosters crow and their loose Pit bulls come home.

Are these the "family values" we want in Fort Worth?

This kind of 3rdworld culture belongs in Juarez, not Fort Worth!

Diamond Hill is home to a very large Latino population and many of them are illegal aliens or the children of illegal aliens. Most Hispanic-American citizens are are opposed to illegal immigration because this is an issue of law and order vs. anarchy.
This is not an issue of race!
As an American citizen of Fort Worth, I reject this culture of anarchy and will fight to restore Fort Worth to law and order!

Lupe Moreno-Great American Hero!

An American Hero!

American teacher stands up to the racist La Raza "Reconquistas"!

Guest Opinion: Raza studies gives rise to racial hostilities

During the 2002-2003 school year, I taught a U.S. history course with a Mexican-American perspective. The course was part of the Raza/Chicano studies department.

Within one week of the course beginning, I was told that I was a "teacher of record," meaning that I was expected only to assign grades. The Raza studies department staff would teach the class.

I was assigned to be a "teacher of record" because some members of the Raza studies staff lacked teaching certificates. It was a convenient way of circumventing the rules.
I stated that I expected to do more than assign grades. I expected to be involved in teaching the class. The department was less than enthusiastic but agreed.

Immediately it was clear that the class was not a U.S. history course, which the state of Arizona requires for graduation. The class was similar to a sociology course one expects to see at a university.

Where history was missing from the course, it was filled by controversial and biased curriculum. The basic theme of the curriculum was that Mexican-Americans were and continue to be victims of a racist American society driven by the interests of middle and upper-class whites.

In this narrative, whites are able to maintain their influence only if minorities are held down. Thus, social, political and economic events in America must be understood through this lens.

This biased and sole paradigm justified teaching that our community police officers are an extension of the white power structure and that they are the strongmen used "to keep minorities in their ghettos."

It justified telling the class that there are fewer Mexican-Americans in Tucson Magnet High School's advanced placement courses because their "white teachers" do not believe they are capable and do not want them to get ahead.

It justified teaching that the Southwestern United States was taken from Mexicans because of the insatiable greed of the Yankee who acquired his values from the corrupted ethos of Western civilization.

It was taught that the Southwest is "Atzlan," the ancient homeland of the Aztecs, and still rightfully belongs to their descendants - to all people of indigenous Mexican heritage.

As an educator, I refused to be complicit in a curriculum that engendered racial hostility, irresponsibly demeaned America's civil institutions, undermined our public servants, discounted any virtues in Western civilization and taught disdain for American sovereignty.

When I raised these concerns, I was told that I was a "racist," despite being Hispanic. Acknowledging my heritage, the Raza studies staff also informed me that I was a vendido, the Spanish term for "sellout."

The culmination of my challenge to the department's curriculum was my removal from that particular class. The Raza studies department and its district-level allies pressured the Tucson High administration to silence my concerns through reassignment to another class during that one period.
The Raza studies department used the "racist" card, which is probably the most worn-out and desperate maneuver used to silence competing perspectives.

It is fundamentally anti-intellectual because it immediately stops debate by threatening to destroy the reputation of those who would provide counter arguments.

Unfortunately, I am not the only one to have been intimidated by the Raza studies department in this way. The diplomatic and flattering language that the department and its proponents use to describe the Raza studies program is an attempt to avoid public scrutiny. When necessary, the department invokes terms such as "witch hunt" and "McCarthyism" to diminish the validity of whatever public scrutiny it does get.

The proponents of this program may conceal its reality to the public. But as a former teacher in the program, I am witness to its ugly underbelly.

Arizona taxpayers should ask themselves whether they should pay for the messages engendered in these classrooms with their hard-earned tax dollars. The Raza studies department has powerful allies in TUSD, on its governing board and in the U.S. House of Representatives and thus operates with much impunity.

Occasionally there are minor irritations from the state superintendent of public instruction and the Legislature.

Ultimately, Arizona taxpayers own TUSD and have the right to change it. The change will have to come from replacing the board if its members refuse to make the Raza studies department respect the public trust.

In February 2005, ICE began Operation Community Shield, a national law enforcement initiative that targets violent transnational street gangs through the use of ICE's broad law enforcement powers, including the unique and powerful authority to remove (deport) criminal aliens, including illegal aliens and legal permanent resident aliens.

Under Operation Community Shield, ICE:

US Immigration Officer is murdered in Mexico while on official business

U.S. officials say Jaime Zapata, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, was killed and another agent wounded while driving through northern Mexico Tuesday.

U.S. officials say Jaime Zapata, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, was killed and another agent wounded while driving through northern Mexico Tuesday.

Advocates for stronger border security on Wednesday called for stepping up the U.S. offensive to stop murderous drug cartels terrorizing Mexico after an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent was killed a day earlier.

"This tragic event is a game changer. The United States will not tolerate acts of violence against its citizens or law enforcement and I believe we must respond forcefully. This should be a long overdue wake-up call for the Obama administration that there is a war on our nation's doorstep," said Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas.

McCaul's comments came after Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Attorney General Holder announced they are establishing a joint task force to be led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to help Mexico track down and capture the perpetrators in the murder of ICE Special Agent Jaime Zapata and wounding of another agent.

"This joint task force reflects our commitment to bring the investigatory and prosecutorial power of the U.S. government to bear as we work with the Mexican government to bring these criminals to justice," Napolitano said.

Earlier in the day, President Obama offered his condolences to the parents of Zapata, who was murdered Tuesday when gunmen fired on the vehicle he was riding in with the second agent, who was shot in the arm and leg and is in the hospital in the United States.

"The president called the parents of Special Agent Jaime Zapata to send his and Michelle's heartfelt condolences on the loss of their son yesterday," White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said Wednesday. "The president said that Special Agent Zapata's service and sacrifice will be remembered, and that the U.S. will work with the Mexican government to bring the assailants to justice."

Zapata, who joined ICE in 2006, was on assignment in Mexico City from his post in Laredo, Texas, where he had been a member of the Human Smuggling and Trafficking Unit as well as the Border Enforcement Security Task Force. The two agents were traveling between Mexico City and Monterrey in a car that displayed diplomatic plates.

Members of the Department of Homeland Security, which houses ICE, also offered their condolences to the family of Zapata, who was previously a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Yuma, Ariz.

"We are saddened and outraged at the senseless and cowardly attack today on two ICE agents performing duties in Mexico. We stand together with our brothers and sisters at ICE in condemning these despicable acts and remain all the more committed to our unified efforts to dismantle these criminal organizations," said Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Alan Bersin.

"May the work we continue to do as an agency be worthy of a sacrifice as great as the one made by Special Agent Zapata," said ICE Director John Morton.

U.S. officials say the gunmen knew they were attacking law enforcement officers. A law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity told The Associated Press the impression comes from comments attackers made before they opened fire on the agents.

Because the attack occurred on Mexican soil, Mexican authorities have jurisdiction in the investigation. However, Napolitano said the full resources of her department "are at the disposal of our Mexican partners in this investigation."

But that assistance may not be enough. While a U.S. law enforcement authority hasn't been killed on Mexico soil since 1985, what was previously considered unthinkable by would-be attackers -- over fear of full retribution by the United States -- no longer seems to intimidate in a drug war that has killed more than 34,000 people, including dozens of Americans.

"We've got to find the individuals who committed these atrocious acts, we've got to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law, and then we've got to shut these cartels down" and persuade Mexico to do more, said Julie Myers Wood, a former head of ICE and president of Immigration and Customs Solutions.

Noting that the Mexican authorities are doing all they can with what they had, Wood said Mexico needs a law enforcement surge. At the same time, she added that the U.S. has to be unified in its effort to take down the cartels, and use more intelligence, while at the same time not giving away a strategic advantage.

"What intelligence are we sharing? How does the Zeta cartel know that these ICE agents were driving down this road? Who knew that and why were they targeted? We have to be quieter about that information," she said, adding that it's necessary to assess whether the Mexicans have sufficient intelligence analysts and equipment to target the cartels effectively.

In the 1985 case, U.S. officials went into Mexico and brought out those responsible for the murder of Drug Enforcement Administration officer Enrique "Kiki" Camarena. The assailants were tried in the United States, sending a signal that the U.S. would not go easy on Mexican drug criminals.

"That was significant then," said Jayson Ahern, a former Customs and Border Patrol agent. "The killing of a U.S. law enforcement agent is going to be something that is going to be a significant change. We'll have to see as far as what is going to be the response of the U.S. government going

Ahern, who said the Mexican government is doing all it can with the help of the combined resources of the Justice, Homeland Security, State and other U.S. departments -- and their offices around the world, added that Zapata's work must continue so that "our borders are not the first opportunity to engage in criminal activity. There is a lot of lateral support."

To that end, Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, whose district borders Mexico, said that the U.S. must work with the Mexican government to prosecute the crimes and support institutions that combat criminal elements. Cuellar said that new provisions under discussion for DHS are targeted at "an improved path" on effective border policies and practices and making sure the "'bad guys' don't even make it to our borders."

Secure the borders now

By Laura Ingraham
September 12, 2007

First of two excerpts from the book "Power to the People."

The vast majority of Americans desperately want our borders protected — and we want it done now. We are weary of the excuses and empty promises put forward by the Republican National Committee, the White House, and the Democratic leadership on this vital issue of national, economic, and cultural security.

We do not understand why, even after the devastating attacks on September 11, our government still allows hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens to cross our borders every year. We do not want our public schools burdened with a massive influx of non-English speaking children of parents who broke our laws. We are livid that our health care costs skyrocket year after year as illegal immigrants take advantage of free health care at emergency rooms across the country. We are astounded to see the resurgence of diseases we thought we had long since conquered, such as tuberculosis, carried by illegal aliens who enter the country without any medical screening. We are horrified to learn how the illegal alien invasion feeds crime and gang activity in our country. We are fed up with a government that has ignored our wishes on an issue that will transform every major aspect of our lives — imperiling America's future.

Why is there such a split between elite and popular opinion on immigration and border enforcement? One big reason is that regular people pride themselves on being Americans, while the elites pride themselves on being cosmopolitan (from Greek words basically meaning citizen of the world). Additionally, the specific costs of open borders do not hit the elites as hard as they hit the working class. Case in point: illegal immigrant crime. To listen to the open border advocates and the dinosaur media, one would think that every illegal immigrant living here is like celebrity dog-trainer Cesar Millan (a.k.a. "The Dog Whisperer"). Illegally in this country — yes, but also entrepreneurial, ambitious, and law-abiding. The "local illegal does good" sob stories have gotten old fast. You'd think establishment politicians and the New York Times would be embarrassed to keep pouring it on, but they aren't.

The simple fact is that illegal immigration has ravaged entire communities with increases in violent and drug-related crime, and in these areas the system is on the verge of being totally overwhelmed. Yet you would never know this by watching the evening news or reading most of the newspapers. When is the last time CBS or the New York Times, reported on violent crime committed by illegal immigrants? Perhaps they are too busy doing stories on how difficult life is for the illegal immigrant — or the rare case when deportation separates a parent from a child born in the U.S. Fox News Channel's Geraldo Rivera loves these stories.

In 2005, the GAO studied a sample of illegal alien criminals... and found an average of eight arrests and thirteen offenses per criminal alien. The audit examined one hundred criminal cases involving illegal immigrants, and found that seventy-three illegals accounted for 429 arrests, 878 charges, and 241 convictions.

Gangs comprised of illegals, such as the deadly Salvadoran MS-13, have been terrorizing communities from Northern Virginia to Long Island since the 1980s. Their crimes range from human and drug trafficking, murder (often by machete), rape, extortion, and armed robbery. MS-13 is now the most powerful gang in America and operates in more than thirty states.

The more we learn about illegal immigration's devastating consequences for our country — our schools, our health care system, our prison population — the more many of us feel abandoned and cheated by the people who were supposed to represent us in Washington. Why did President Bush lobby so passionately for "comprehensive immigration reform" when an overwhelming majority in his own party and even a majority of Democrats didn't want it? And why didn't he work so hard on issues conservatives cared about — cutting government spending and defeating McCain-Feingold, to name a few?
